In September 2021, Butte county became the 28th national site for the John F. Kennedy Center’s Any Given Child Initiative.The Any Given Child program is designed to assist a community in planning strategically to provide a high-quality arts education for every K-8 student using the existing resources of the school district, local government, business community, post-secondary education sector, and local arts community aided by the Kennedy Center. Any Given Child: Butte County consists of three school districts Oroville City Elementary, Palermo Union Elementary, Thermalito Union Elementary. BCOE serves as the backbone organization for this collective impact project.
